Milestone Studios has released the first screenshots of its upcoming new racer, Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo.
Both images (work in progress) show off the same Swedish location where players will be burning their wheels later this year. The environment looks lovely and is weighed in by the developer’s claime that “scrupulous care” has been taken to construct the settings.
Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo is being made in the studio’s proprietary engine, which is said to allow advanced lighting and vegetation systems in the game. According to the studio, this is a great help in carefully reconstructing what a player would see when competing in a real rally in Sweden.
“Among the most noticeable improvements are: the tracking system for tyre marks,” the publisher says, “redesigned to take account of the different surfaces; the advanced rendering features of the new shader, bringing out the best of the new environments and the bodywork of the cars, with an advanced Real Time reflection system; and a new camera system featuring dynamic focus effects and television-style framing during Replays.”
Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will launch in autumn for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will feature three different modes: Career, Offline and Online mode – all of which are pretty self explanatory.
