Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn maintenance period is about to end in a couple of hours, and if you want to get your hands on the game when the maintenance is over, then you better start downloading ‘Before the Fall’ patch for the game.
The PC version of this patch will take around 1.2 GB of your hard disk space while the console version is slightly smaller, as it takes just about 980 MB.
The new patch will bring a new chapter to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn storyline called Before the Fall, but it will not be complete as the full and final version is scheduled to come out by the end of March.
The latest patch brings 2/3 of the main storyline missions, new dungeons, the conclusion of the Crystal Tower quest line and the World of Darkness.
In addition, it will feature new adventures of Hildibrand, a new fight against the Odin, new gear, crafters, new recipes, and a ton of other stuff. You can check out some of the additions coming to the game in the trailer that was released last week.
After the completion of Before the Fall patch, the players will have the Heavensward expansion to look forward to, which is slated for release in the spring of 2015.
You can read up on all the patch notes for the update provided on the game’s official website.
