One of the primary aspects on which massively multiplayer online role playing games are built upon is character progression. The Elder Scrolls Online is no different and ZeniMax Online Studios keep finding new ways to further your character’s progression.
The latest update in that regard is the Champion Point progression system.
Official website of Elder Scrolls Online has a very detailed post that explains how the Champion progression system works and how exactly the Champion Points are going to be incorporated in the game.
In one part of the post the developers have said that it is only Veteran Rank characters that get Champion Points although they can be made available to any of the characters:
In the Champion System, all of your Veteran Rank characters earn Champion Points as they participate in activities that grant experience. Only Veteran Rank characters are capable of earning Champion Points, but those they earn are available to all your characters (even non-VR characters). That means any time you earn a Champion Point, each of your characters on that megaserver can spend it however they like. Each character can invest the total number of Champion Points you’ve earned differently.
The Champion Points progression will kick in with the Update 6 and, obviously, become available to any player who has (or reaches) Veteran Rank thereon.
According to the developers this will open up new ways of progression as well as provide the players with new passive abilities.
Have you been playing The Elder Scrolls Online in the recent days? Do you think that this new progression system is going to improve the experience or not?
