Dying Light could be seeing another delay which for now could only be effecting the game’s release in France alone.
According to a report by CraveOnline, at least one retailer has confirmed the news but the basis of the delay has yet to be revealed.
It’s speculated that the recent tragic attack at the office of French satirical magazine Carlie Hebdo could be the cause. However, it’s also widely said that Dying Light still has a lot of bugs to be rid of and the developer could be in need of more time to assure a quality launch.
At this point neither the publisher nor developer has been able to confirm or deny the news. Until they do, we’ll flag it as a mere rumor.
Dying Light was supposed to release late last year but was then delayed to February 2015. Techland then followed up with the game releasing a bit sooner in late January. Currently there are French retailers with new release dates of March 31, which could be place holders.
In the worst case scenario, the game will end up as a summer release. Dying Light is in development for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
