The rumors suggesting that The Last of Us 2 was in development have been circulating around the web recently, when one of the former employees listed on his profile that he was a part of the early production of the sequel.
The listing as of now has been removed, and in an interview with GameInformer, Naughty Dog has also clarified that currently all of their focus is on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
That’s all a big if. We’re 110 percent in Uncharted 4 territory now. Blinders on, make this awesome.
Neil Druckmann, along with the fans of The Last of Us wants to see the second game in the franchise, but that is not going to happen until Uncharted 4 has been launched on PlayStation 4.
We totally get it, because we have those same feelings as well. We have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we’ve brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4.
Naughty Dog games have been one of the main selling points for the Sony’s consoles, and I am sure whatever they have planned for the players will be up to the quality that we have come to expect from them.
As of now, we have Uncharted 4 to look forward to which from the looks of it, has been aiming to be the best entry in the franchise. The developers have stated that it will be a characters driven story that will include some elements of exploration and stealth.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to come out by the end of 2015, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
