Competitive gaming tournaments have become a huge part of gaming industry these days, as multiple popular video games are selected for yearly competitions.
Among these games is Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, which has grown a lot in its popularity since the release of first Modern Warfare title.
To test the skills of the players with the latest entry in the series, Advanced Warfare, Activision has announced this year’s competition, which will begin on March 27, and will last for a couple of days ending on March 29.
The competition will select 32 teams for the tournament, and the team that manages to best out all of the opponents will get its hands on $400,000 prize.
However, it is easier said than done, as there are a lot of skilled players of Call of Duty that can make others’ life a living hell during the matches. This will not be an easy competition to win by any means, but players do have a lot of time on their hand to practice and make sure that their skills are up to the level that can beat the very best.
The competition is sponsored by Xbox Live and is co-hosted by Major League Gaming. As mentioned before, the players will compete in the latest entry, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
