DICE has inadvertently revealed plans to keep on releasing additional content for Battlefield 4 until the end of the year.
The official website has been updated to feature an extended Battlefield 4 Premium calendar that runs through to December 2015. Previously, this calendar expired in October 2014 with the release of Final Stand, the last expansion pack to the 2013 online shooter.
Late last year, DICE did reveal that it has no plans to close off content support. This was probably based on how far the game and its community had come along. More content was teased but those teasers suggested perhaps one or two more packs at the most.
Seeing the extended content calendar now, it seems like DICE is going all out and fans can expect 2015 to be filled to the brim with a lot of new additions.
We currently have no information on what Battlefield 4 will be getting this year but the popular speculation is that DICE is remaking the current Battlefield maps.
In related news, the franchise’s new installment – Battlefield: Hardline – is scheduled for launch on March 20 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. There’s also an unannounced Battlefield game pegged for late 2016, as revealed by EA CFO Blake Jorgenson in November during the UBS Global Technology Conference.
