Wouldn’t it be nice if you get to play some of the block buster games of Nintendo 3DS on your PC? Well, that is what Citra 3DS emulator is being developed for.
In fact, it is really looking promising, so much so that a video has been released where they show the emulator booting up Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
This will excite many of you but I don’t think this is the right time for that. The developers say that it might take a year or two before you can actually play the game.
So to be honest, this doesn’t mean you can jump up and play your favorite games using Citra 3DS right away. In fact, here’s what the website’s FAQ says about this:
In nice, bold letters: No! Citra is not ready yet!. You can not play Pokémon, Super Mario Bros., or any of your other favorite 3DS games yet. If you check back in a year or two, this may no longer be the case.
Citra 3DS is currently compatible with Windows, Linux, and OS X but the developers think that they might be ablle to add mobile support sometime down the timeline.
Did you see the video above? What would you give to be able to run Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D using the Citra 3DS emulator?
