Batman: Arkham Knight, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, BF: Hardline

These are some of the titles originally scheduled to release in 2014, but were pushed to 2015. Combining these titles with scores of console-exclusives slated to launch in coming year, 2015 is indeed looking splendid and gaming-filled.

From a never-ending list of titles that are scheduled to release in 2015, here is our list of most anticipated games to look forward in 2015:

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Release Date: 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Another title which was initially slated for 2014 release, but got pushed to 2015. Being developed by Ubisoft, The Division features a new Tom Clancy squad dubbed ‘Strategic Homeland Division’ specialized in scenarios that make up the plot of The Division.

The third-person mmo will allow extensive customization, unique skill trees, a range of weapons, and home-bases. Although no concrete release date has been provided, but The Division is expected to launch sometime in 2015 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Developed by Turtle Rock Studios, Evolve (stylized as EVOLVE) features the concept of 4 vs. 1 competitive shooter. In Evolve, 4 players take up the role of Hunters who hunt down a 5th player controlling an alien-monster.

Both alien-monster and hunters will have their unique skills which they will be able to deploy during the battle. Although the primary focus of the game is on online-play, the developer has announced that the game will also have a single-player campaign.

Evolve is scheduled to enter an open beta exclusively for Xbox One in a few days with a limited technical test on PC and Playstation 4 after that.

Dying Light

Release Date: Jan. 27, 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Dying Light is a zombie-apocalypse title set in Urfa, Turkey. Offering extensive customization options, Dying Light requires players to craft unique weapons and survive.

One important thing that players must take into account is the game’s day-night cycle. During daytime, players are require to scavenge the world for supplies, set up traps, and return to their safe-houses.

At the nightfall, the infected transform into something much more deadly and do everything in their power to prey upon the fistful of survivors.

The game was originally scheduled to release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 as well, but Techland announced that last-gen consoles are unable to ‘handle the game.’

It was E3 2014 when the world witnessed a Dante-inspired demon-slayer fighting diabolical forces. Little is known about protagonist of this upcoming action IP dubbed Scalebound.

Being developed by Platinum Games, Scalebound will arrive sometime during 2015 exclusively on Xbox One. And oh! This hero of ours has a special bond with an adult dragon who will aid players in their survival.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Release Date: Holidays 2015
Platforms: Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a direct sequel to 2013’s Tomb Raider Reboot. The game sticks to the roots of the of the previous installment and an announcement trailer showcased Lara undergoing some sort of therapy.

The game stirred a lot of upheaval when the company announced that the game will be exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360. However, it was later revealed that it will be a timed-exclusive only and will eventually release on other platforms. However, release date for other platforms – PC, PS4, and PS3 – is not yet revealed.

Batman: Arkham Knight

Release Date: Jun. 2, 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Serving as a direct sequel to 2011’s Batman: Arkham City, Batman: AK was originally planned to release in 2014, but got pushed to 2015.

The last installment in the series by Rocksteady features a livelier Gotham City, new and old gadgets at Batman’s disposal, and a wide array of foes conjured by Scarecrow in his desperate attempt to kill Batman once and for all!

For the first time in the franchise, players will be able to drive Batmobile, use it to explore Gotham City, and complete its additional activities. Furthermore, the game also features a new villain called the Arkham Knight who has a large army lined up to put an end to the Dark Knight’s life.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Release Date: 2015
Platforms: Playstation 4

Sony is finally planning to rock 2015 with the fourth installment of Uncharted franchise. Being developed by Naughty Dog, Uncharted 4: A Thief End features a retired Nathan Drake embarked on his life’s greatest journey.

The world of Uncharted 4 is unforgiving and will test Drake’s mettle in a journey never experienced before! Little else is known about the title, but what expect to hear more in days to come with a concrete release date.

Quantum Break

Release Date: Q2 2015
Platforms: Xbox One

Being developed by the makers of Max Payne 3 and Alan Wake, Quantum Break is a third-person action title with live-action series agglomerated within the game. The game is mostly played from a cover-based perspective with the protagonist possessing the ability to manipulate time at will.

The game was originally slated to release sometime in 2014, but got pushed back to 2015. And although no concrete release date is available, the game is expected to hit the store shelves in the second quarter of 2015.

Mortal Kombat X

Release Date: Apr. 15, 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3

Mortal Kombat ‘ex’, the latest installment in NetherRealm Studios’ fighting franchise needs no introduction. Unlike its predecessors, Mortal Kombat X will feature new gameplay mechanics and online capabilities. Similar to Injustice: Gods among Us, players will be able to interact with environment during a match.

In addition to this, each character will have three different variations; each containing distinctive move-sets. As for the storyline, the game’s story will commence from the end of the previous iteration and will proceed 25 years into the future. Being developed using Unreal Engine 3, NetherRealm Studios are developing PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game while the last-gen ports will be handled by an unknown developer.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Release Date: 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3

The latest iteration of Metal Gear Solid franchise by Kojima Productions lets players assume the role of Venom Snake AKA Big Boss in an open world. Similar to Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain will feature a large arsenal of gadgets at Snake’s disposal with a heavy focus on traversing the world and using stealth to complete various tasks.

The game has taken quite a lot from previous installments like the ability to create weapons/items from the Mother Base and recruiting soldiers to your cause. In addition to this, the game will have a real-time day-night cycle which will alter the way missions are played.

At Video Game Awards 2014, Kojima Productions also showcased a dedicated online mode dubbed Metal Gear Online which will ship alongside the game. The multiplayer mode takes up quite a few features from the single-player component and heavily relies on tactical team-based operations.

Homefront: The Revolution

Release Date: 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

After THQ went bankrupt, the road for Homefront: The Revolution was not a smooth one, but it’s definitely happening. Set in the year 2029 in Philadelphia, it’s not just a game, it’s a fight for survival and reclaiming your homeland. The game will

feature an open-world with players having freedom whether they wish to go guns ablaze or choose a more stealthy approach.

In addition to this, players will also have the freedom to customize their weapons and remotely detonate cars and other buildings. Although no concrete release date is available, but the game is expected to release sometime in 2015.

The third installment in Crackdown franchise is being developed exclusively for Xbox One. Originally revealed at E3 2014, Crackdown is described as a completely new iteration that features a whole new campaign with co-op support. The game utilizes Microsoft’s cloud-based technology to create a destructive environment never experienced before.

With no solid release date to go by, Crackdown is expected to launch sometime in 2015 exclusively for Xbox One.

No Man’s Sky

Release Date: 2015
Platforms: PC and PS4

Being developed by Hello Games, No Man’s Sky is a procedurally-generated open-universe title which grants the players freedom to explore and upgrade their character/spaceship as they explore the outer universe. In No Man’s Sky, players will be able to explore different planets, each containing its distinctive eco-system, flora, fauna, and species. The game is a timed-exclusive on Sony’s Playstation 4 and will later release on PC and Xbox One.

The Order: 1886

Release Date: Feb. 20, 2015
Platforms: PS4

Being developed by Ready at Dawn and Santa Monica SCE, The Order: 1886 is a single-player action-adventure title which is set in medieval alternate London invested by half-breed monsters. The game heavily relies on action-sequence agglomerated with the actual gameplay.

Players will have access to technologies way ahead of the game’s setting which will aid them in their fights against the monsters. The Order: 1886 launches on Feb. 20, 2015 exclusively on Playstation 4.

Another PS4 exclusive to launch in 2015 is From Software’s Bloodborne. The game has taken up a few things from RPGs like Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls mixed with a few new changes. The combat is now exceedingly fast-based and offensive in order to allow players take on hordes of monsters.

Unlike its inspirations set in medieval times, Bloodborne features a range of advanced weaponary. For example, a firearm equipped in player’s left-hand acts as a shield which can be used to stun enemies followed by a critical strike. Similar to Souls games, Bloodborne will also feature both single-player and co-op campaigns and will arrive on Mar. 24, 2015 exclusively on PS4.

The Legend of Zelda

Eiji Aonuma has constantly reminded fans of the large scale world that is going to be featured in The Legend of Zelda for Wii U.

At The Game Awards 2015, we received a thorough look at The Legend of Zelda and my oh my! The in-game world is huge and full of activities. Fans of the franchise will witness some majors changes done in The Legend of Zelda. Although no concrete release date is available, fans will definitely be able to get their hands on the game immediately after Star Fox in 2015, exclusively on Wii U.

Halo 5: Guardians

Release Date: Q3/Q4 2015
Platforms: Xbox One

If Sony is coming out strong in 2015, there is no reason for its rival to sit idle. 2015 will witness the return of Master Chief on Xbox One with Halo 5: Guardians.

The game will serve as a direct sequel to Halo 4 and 343 Industries has promised 1080p and 60 FPS on Xbox One. Additionally, the game will make use of improved Xbox Live services and will offer dedicated servers on Xbox One.

Furthermore, the game is being developed on an entirely new game engine since Halo 4 pushed the last game engine to its limit on Xbox 360.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

Release Date: May. 19, 2015
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Our most anticipated title to launch in 2015 is none other than The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. The game takes place after the events of the first two installments, but will act as a standalone experience.

Players who have not joined Geralt on his previous experiences will fully be able to enjoy their experience in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game was originally slated to release sometime in 2014, but got delayed to February 2015 before finally being pushed to May. 19, 2015.

Similar to previous installments, the game will feature a ton of content to complete with an open-world which is described as 20% larger than the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Although the game primarily focuses on Geralt of Rivia, the will also allow players to play as Ciri during some instances who will contribute to story in her own way. Being developed on allnew REDengine 3, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will launch across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
