Today marks the official launch of Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, giving players a taste of what to expect from the latest iteration in Halo universe.
Starting today until Jan. 18, 2015, anyone who purchased Halo: The Master Chief Collection is eligible to try out Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta in 4 vs. 4 format spread across three game types, seven multiplayer maps, and a ton of customization options. Players will be able to carry their progress from the beta to the final product and will have exclusive access to Halo: Nightfall.
In addition to beta’s commencement, Microsoft has also detailed three pre-order packages containing exclusive Halo merchandise:
Standard Edition: for $59.99 – Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster1, only available to those who pre-order
Limited Edition: for $99.99 – Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book
Limited Collector’s Edition: for $249.99 – Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries

Halo 5: Guardians extends the story of Master Chief as well as a new central character named Agent Locke who is assigned to hunt the Master Chief and solve a mystery threatening the entire universe.
Halo 5: Guardians is expected to launch in Fall 2015 exclusively for Xbox One.
