Katsuhiro Harada, the man who has worked tirelessly on the Tekken franchise for over twenty years, has stated in a recent interview that the new Tekken 7 could eventually release for PC.
Speaking with Korean website Inven, the Producer mentioned how the final platforms have yet to be decided and that currently only the arcade version is done. On that note he continued saying that the studio is considering a PC version as well but it could be for certain countries only. We’d like to simply disregard that last part and instead focus on where he mentioned a PC release.
“We have not yet decided or confirmed platforms other than arcade since it is not done yet. We are considering a PC version for certain countries that prefer or need to play on PC.”
Rumors of the new Tekken 7 releasing for PC have been circulating the web for months now but we’ve yet to hear an official statement from Namco Bandai. The game is being powered by Unreal Engine 4, as is the recently announced Street Fighter V – set to arrive exclusively for the PS4 and PC. SFV is going to feature cross-platform play, and it wouldn’t be bad to know that Tekken 7 does the same.
