Now that both Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V have been officially unveiled, people were wondering about the future of Tekken x Street Fighter.
However, you don’t have anything to worry about as Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that the development process is still going on, and base system for the game has already been finished.
Yes! It is a good news but don’t expect to play the game anytime soon, as Harada also stated that he would like to be done with Tekken 7 and its updates before releasing Tekken x Street Fighter.
Tekken 7 still has time before it’s released in the Japanese Arcades in early 2015, and after that it will make its way to the consoles and maybe on PC.
Street Fighter V on the other hand, is just 20% complete at the moment and it will be quite a while before it will release worldwide.
In the light of this, we can safely assume that Tekken X Street Fighter will not be seeing the light of day before 2017.
The only good news in this story is that the game is still under development and will come out sometime in the future.
What is your take on this long development process? Are you disappointed about not getting to play it anytime soon? or you are contented with the release of two titles separately?
