Nvidia has released a new driver for Elite Dangerous that helps improve performance and brings in other improvements and tweaks.
You can now download the GeForce Game Ready beta driver 347.09 through the GeForce Experience or from the official Nvidia website. According to Nvidia, the new update brings “performance optimizations, SLI profiles, and other tweaks”.
The graphic cards manufacturer highly recommends that all Elite Dangerous players currently boasting Nvidia cards should update their drivers to this one as soon as possible. The announcement wasn’t accompanied by any patch notes, so we’re going to assume that the drivers make SLI experience more stable, better performance boosts for average rigs and better SLI profiles for players to work around with.
Elite Dangerous is currently available on the PC, but Frontier Developments has expressed desire to bring the game over to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well. Earlier this year, Studio boss David Braben was reported to have said:
“I don’t want to do something that constitutes an announcement, but we would be stupid not to support other platforms, including console.”
