I am sure fans of Assassin’s Creed Unity have been expecting an update download today, but it appears the developers still think there are a few more nooks to be polished – or maybe a few more bugs to be quashed.
The Patch 4 has been delayed.
Ubisoft somehow had to wait until the release day to announce on the official website of Assassin’s Creed Unity that you guys will have to wait a little longer:
As stated last week, we’d expected to release the patch today (and we know that many are anticipating its release), but we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we’ve promised. We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.
According to the same post, it is really a matter of “rigorous quality control” that they decided to hold off the release until a later date.
That is all good and we would love for them to give us something that is effective instead of something that comes early. However, it just makes me wish that they had applied the same “rigorous quality control” for the game before releasing it – you know, the time when they were making things that turned out to be so buggy.
Anyhow, the Patch 4 is the same update that is expected to fix most of the issues that the game is facing now, and so I’d rather be glad that they are finally ironing out all the issues once and for all.
What has been your experience with Assassin’s Creed Unity in recent weeks?
