Heavenly Sword was one of the first PS3 games I played and I loved every second of it. Ninja Theory did an exceptional job with the game and for this reason I am really looking forward to their current project.
Right now, Ninja Theory is working day and night on a new game called Hellblade. The first time I saw it, the footage instantly reminded me of Heavenly Sword; but it’s a Heavenly Sword on steroids!
Ninja Theory has been been pretty active with releasing new details about the game and more information about Hellblade was shared with the fans through a Q&A session held on twitch recently.
While details are not yet finalized and the game is in an early development phase, Ninja Theory stated that there won’t be a two player co-op mode in the game. There main focus is on the single player mode, through which they want to tell a compelling story.
Moreover, some tidbits about gameplay were also shared, according to which, there won’t be any QTE (quick-time-events) in Hellblade and players will have the option to cancel an attack and change it into a different one.
The game will be shown-off properly sometime in spring 2015, so that fans can see what it has to offer.
Lastly, players will be involved in a beta/alpha test for the game and will send their feedback to improve the game’s combat system. No more information regarding the beta/alpha has been released by Ninja Theory so far.
Hellblade is exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 4 and is expected to release sometime in late 2015.
