Developer West Games has resurfaced with a new title called Stalker Apocalypse that is asking for $600,000 in crowd-funding.
In July, the developer started a similar Kickstarter campaign for Areal. The game was hyped to be a spiritual successor to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series. However, the crowd-funding campaign fell into turmoil when it later was revealed to be infringing copyrights of Survarium, a game that was also inspired by the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
The end result was the Kickstarter campaign being removed and West Games going underground.
Today, the developer is back and has so with pretty much the same pitch as before. With a new name of Stalker Apocalypse, it hopes to receive $600,000 or more funding on World Wide Funder. In comparison, West Games back then had asked for $50,000 for Areal.
If the project materializes, the developer has promised both PC and console versions. A posted video gives us a better idea of the game and highlights strong emphasis on story content.
