With every multi-platform release, we often see various in-game content going exclusive to a certain platform. Sometimes, it remains exclusive indefinitely but most of the time this type of content is timed-exclusive.
When it comes to multi platform fighting games, certain characters are often platform exclusive. However, that won’t be the case with the release of Mortal Kombat X.
Speaking in an interview, executive producer Shaun Himmerick, stated: “We have no platform exclusive characters planned for MKX.”
With that said, as we know nothing is set in stone in this industry and all this might change. Still, being a consumer, I believe it’s a good thing not to have platform exclusive content.
Same was the case with Destiny, PlayStation has some content which will remain exclusive to the platform for about an year. Xbox fans would certainly feel disappointed about this. Thankfully, that won’t happen with Mortal Kombat X.
Moreover, the only pre-order (as an exclusive) character it has is Goro, and fans who want this character can have it unlocked by pre-ordering the game. Follow the link here to pre-order the game.
Mortal Kombat X is going to be available next year in April for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
