Dota 2 Pro Team Vici Gaming Wins The Summit 2

One of the most exciting Dota 2 tournaments of the year, The Summit 2 had its crown going the way of Vici Gaming, who ended the tournament with THIS absolutely spectacular play, where both of the international VG players catch FOUR Cloud9 players in a Ravage and double Chronosphere combo!

Six of the world’s best teams battled in the Beyond The Summit studios in Seattle, USA, for a prizepool of over $250.000!

The tournament kicked off with a Round Robin stage, in which saw Cloud9 and Team Secret finish at the top spots, each with 4 wins and 1 loss, followed by Vici Gaming in 3rd with 3 wins and 2 losses, then the previous champions Evil Geniuses with 2 wins and 3 losses, and finally the bottom teams Not Today and Team Tinker, both with 1 win and 4 losses.

Both top teams got seeded for the main playoffs, which was a best of 5 series throughout.

The first day of the playoffs featured a 3-0 beatdown that EG gave to the new Peruvian squad NoT and then Vici beat Team Tinker by 3-1. At the end of the day, the allstar match was played, an All Random Deathmatch which was honestly one of the most entertaining games ever played.

Even if you don’t know much about the game, it’s impossible not to laugh. Watch it here.

The second day of the playoffs featured two very very VERY close series between the top 4 teams. Cloud9 managed to beat EG by 3-2 and then Vici Gaming managed edge out against Team Secret by a 3-2 score.

Both victors moved on to the Grand Finals. And then it followed with a Tag team tournament, in which one player hold the mouse while the other holds the keyboard, hilarity ensues. Watch it here.

The final day of the tournament started out with the 3rd place decider match, which unexpectedly went 3-0 in favor of Team Secret, leaving the previous champions in 4th place.

The Grand Finals was played between Cloud9 and Vici Gaming and it was a very exciting match series that could not have ended in a better way.
