It recently came to light that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature a second playable character. Information on this new mysterious person is still unknown, but Community Manager Marcin Mormot has been making rounds on the official forums, with the following tidbits.
“Just wanted to add something regarding the second playable character, who will be very important for the story of the game by the way. You won’t be able to switch between them at will. There will be certain moments in the plot when you assume control of that other character. The time you spend playing as that other character, however, will be significant.”
Seems like a short section in the main storyline where players will switch over to the other character for his or her perspective.
Much as the news of a second playable character is exciting, people are more riled up over the game’s recent delaying. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was revealed this week to be delayed for a second time and will now release in May.
Mormot promised that they are still focused on delivering a classic and players won’t be disappointed with the final game.
Unfortunately for those looking forward to the release of The World of the Witcher book, Mormot confirmed that too will be delayed to release alongside the game in May.
