With Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare out there, it’s time for Treyarch to get moving with their new Call of Duty title for 2015.
Today, we most possibly have seen the studio tease that new installment. A new posting on their official Facebook page cites Franklin Roosevelt on the account of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The citation was accompanied by a link to an article on Wikipedia about the tragic event.
“December 7, 1941… a date which will live in infamy.” – Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Many are speculating that this posting was more than just a mention of the event, and actually teases Treyarch’s new Call of Duty game. If true then it most probably is exiting the Black Ops theme and shifting to World at War.
Call of Duty: World at War released back in 2008 to a lot of positive reviews. Treyarch could choose to either confirm Call of Duty: World at War 2 before the year is over or wait until everyone is back from their holidays.
Activision is currently running with a three year cycle plan for its Call of Duty franchise with Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games taking turns each year.
