In what appears to be DDOS attack, users are experiencing signing in Xbox Live on Xbox 360 and Xbox One as well as issues with various Xbox 360 applications.
Microsoft is aware of the situation and is hard at work at resolving the issue. Here’s what Xbox Live Status Page reads as of this very instant:
Xbox members, are you running into issues connecting to Live? We want to assure you that our top engineers are hard at work to find a fix. We appreciate your patience in the meantime! Please feel free to check back in a half hour for an update on our progress.
Additionally, are you receiving an error message when attempting to download or launch certain applications? Don’t worry! We’re working hard to provide a fix for this as well. Thanks for your patience, Xbox members. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
The popular hacking group Lizard Squad has been quite active on Twitter for past some hours and has accepted the responsibility for these series of attacks:
