The alpha test is being referred to as “online test 1” by Epic Games. According to the company the purpose of this test is to insure that all of the basic systems are working properly.
Furthermore, Epic Games stated:
“It’s a little rough around the edges, but we’re excited to hear feedback from real players and take this first step in bringing Fortnite to everyone.”
Players who are interested in taking part in the alpha test must sign-up through the official website. This will give players a chance to receive an invitation to the alpha.
Epic Games is still allowing players to sign-up, so hurry up!
During these type of alpha tests, we often see gameplay videos posted online by users or by the company itself. However, this won’t be the case with Fortnite.
Unfortunately, Epic Games won’t allow users to stream gameplay from Fortnite, according to their non-disclosure agreement. Moreover, Players who have already registered themselves for the alpha, should check their inbox for the invitation.
Fortnite is a co-op sandbox survival game in which gameplay sections are divided into day and night cycles.
During daytime, players can build forts by using different materials. As soon as the night falls, they can retreat back their forts and take on waves of monsters. The task is simple, survive until dawn.
