Dead Island 2 Beta Coming to PS4 One Month Earlier Than PC/Xbox One

Not a lot of information has been shared by Yager Studios regarding its upcoming title Dead Island 2, but in an interesting turn of events, a beta site for the game has been discovered.

The website is asking for the GameStop or EB Games beta code, and upon entering it, you will get registered for the upcoming beta.

The official website was discovered by a NeoGAF user matrixman92, and it reveals that PlayStation 4 users will be getting their hands on the game’s beta one month earlier than PC and Xbox One owners.

However, there’s no official date mentioned for the beta at the time of writing, but developers assure that the chosen participants will receive a code a couple of weeks early, via their registered e-mail id.

Now that the website has been discovered, we can expect Deep Silver or Yager to give us the official release date for the beta in the coming weeks.

The first entry in the series Dead Island, and its expansion called Riptide were developed by Techland Studios, but the series has been handed over to Yager Studios for Dead Island 2.

We will see what new additions and changes they will bring to the table when the game launches in April of 2015.
