Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for its open-world online racing title, The Crew.
The game has gone through various beta waves and testers have so far commented online that they found the driving experience mundane. However, Ubisoft has warned everyone to not judge the title based on early reviews since The Crew has gone through a lot of changes based on user-feedback.
Ubisoft’s reputation is currently spiraling downwards. Its over-hyped titles have only ended up disappointing the masses on launch. The recent example was Assassin’s Creed: Unity which from the outside looked a terrific addition to the franchise.
However, the game was marred by so many issues on launch and that too across all platforms that the title was unanimously labelled as a completely broken title. While Ubisoft works to fix that game, consumers are now looking at The Crew with a wary eye.
Not to mention, the game being online only might also cause several issues at launch. Both DriveClub and Halo: The Master Chief Collection saw to online issues upon launch, where the former’s reputation was pretty much destroyed.
Developer Ivory Tower however believes that The Crew’s extended beta testing has given Ubisoft confidence that the game will see to a smooth launch.
The Crew will be available tomorrow for purchase on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
