The Crew is just a few days away from making its debut. The game is Ubisoft’s upcoming MMO Car-PG that is looking to reshape the racing genre.
Anticipation and expectations are high for the game and Ubisoft has now announced that the game’s servers will go live on December 1st, a day before its launch.
Just recently, Ubisoft revealed that similar to Assassin’s Creed Unity, The Crew won’t getting any reviews until the game has been released and servers are live. You can read more about it, here.
The Crew has been extensively tested through multiple betas and the game looks to be fully ready for launch.
What’s a bit odd is that the game is being released on PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 but there is no PS3 version to be seen.
Ubisoft explained the situation and stated that The Crew is build for current-gen systems and they ported in to the last. However, Xbox 360 hardware is similar to its successor, which made it an easier task to port the game on this platform.
“The Crew is originally built for the new generation of consoles so when we made the decision to port it to the previous generation of consoles, we decided to focus solely on the platform closest to the new-gen’s technical infrastructure, which is the Xbox 360,”
Some might argue that Ubisoft was just being lazy but that is just their opinion I guess. The Crew will release on all of the announced platforms, starting December 2nd.
