As we already know that amiibo figurines are not compatible with all of the video games just yet, and one the games that doesn’t support them, is Pokemon Rumble U.
Well, at least we thought it didn’t. A YouTube user, who goes by the name of Kolma has discovered that Pokemon Rumble U is completely compatible with the figurines.
He tried out different amiibos with the game and the results were quite interesting. Scanning a Pikachu amiibo summoned Mesprit into the battlefield.
Scanning Link’s figurine summoned Swinub, while Wii Fit Trainer summoned Boldore. Marth’s figurine summoned Weedle and finally, the Villager summoned Victini into the battle.
You don’t have to take my word for it, you can watch all this happen in the attached video above!
Officially, amiibos are only confirmed for the following games on Nintendo Wii U:
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
- Mario Kart 8
- Mario Party 10
- Yoshi’s Woolly World
- Hyrule Warriors
- Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
On the other hand, 3DS supports just a couple of titles at this point.
- Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
- Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus
It seems that Nintendo is working to bring the support for figurines to all of their games.
It was also revealed a few days back that Nintendo is planning to include amiibo support for third party games.
