Some of this year’s highly anticipated titles made their way to the markets last week, but it is GTA V which has managed to top the UK’s best-selling chart.
That’s not all, GTA V has also become the highest selling game of all time in UK, beating the record of Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.
GfK Chart reveals that the difference between the sales of two titles wasn’t much, as GTA V was a huge success on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
With Xbox One and PS4 getting the title last week, the game easily managed to surpass the remaining sales difference.
PS4 took the lead on GTA V sales with 58% copies sold on the platform, while Xbox One contributed with 41%. Remaining 1% sales were attributed to Xbox 360.
Followed by GTA V is the highly anticipated sequel Far Cry 4, which according to the report had the best launch week as compared to the previous entries in the franchise.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been dropped to third spot followed by EA’s FIFA 15.
Bioware’s new RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition is on par in terms of sales with Dragon Age 2, as it managed to get the fifth spot.
