The Crew is going to commence an open beta next week that will begin from November 25 and end on November 27, Ubisoft has announced.
Participants will be given access to two of the five regions in the game – the Midwest and East Cost, where they will be free to explore the country and compete in various challenges spread across.
Additionally, players will also be given access to PvP lobbies from where they can choose to go against other players.
It’s unknown whether data and statistics accumulated by players during the beta will carry over to the final version of the game. Since Ubisoft has not spoken on the matter, it’s more likely that it will not.
An earlier beta event for the game resulted in many PlayStation 4 owners expressing disappointment. Many criticized its story elements to be incredibly “boring and predictive.” On top of that, its core driving experience was noted to be unimpressive, where some compared it to the driving elements from Watch Dogs.
Ubisoft may have worked on those complains during this time and the open beta will tell us if the initial impressions will be turned around.
The Crew is scheduled for release on December 2 for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
