After months of speculation, the location for the next Pokemon World Championship was revealed earlier. According to a post on the PWC official website, the tournament will be held in Boston, Massachusetts USA.
However, it seems as though this information is either false or was not meant to be revealed at the moment. Because the post which made the news public has now been removed.
Before removal, the post revealed some tidbits and stated that the Pokemon World Championship for Pokemon Card Trade Game and video game will be held on August 21-23 2015.
Furthermore, there won’t be any Last Chance Qualifiers this time around. These qualifiers gave a chance to players to earn their entry into the tournament, if they haven’t qualified earlier.
Pokemon World Championship is presumably going to be held at the Hynes Convention Center. The winner will take home $25,000 while the runner up will be rewarded with $15,000.
Why this information was removed is anybody’s guess at this time, but it seems as though these plans are not yet finalized and were posted by mistake. Until we hear something more from official sources, take all of this with a grain of salt.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as this story further develops. Till then, feel free to speculate in the comments below!
