As we reported yesterday, Nintendo will not be releasing any premium DLC for Super Smash Bros Wii U as well as for 3DS. This is, of course, apart from the recently announced Mewtwo who will be making its way to the game very soon.
The developers have already announced that the character from the Pokemon world is going to be made available on both versions of the game; they have also shared that it will be a free item.
Now, the official website (translation: Siliconera) of the game has shed more light on the matter clarifying what exactly is being offered. They said that while Mewtwo is going to be available parallel to Super Smash Bros. Nintendo 3DS & Wii U: Premium Sound Collection soundtrack CD, the offer is a little different.
The people who own both the versions of the game are going to get the character but only one version will be free.
Don’t fret though; the website has confirmed that the character will also be purchasable as a paid DLC sometime down the line. This means if you have both versions of the game, you get it for free on one of them and you will have to buy it for the other.
Owners of Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS are going to be given codes that they will be allowed to redeem in the spring of 2015 in order to get their hands on the free character.
So far, Nintendo has not shared any details regarding the price of Mewtwo, but we suggest that you keep checking back so that we can update you as soon as something comes up!
