Blizzard’s latest project called Overwatch was announced back at BlizzCon. The team-based shooter is a multiplayer only game and won’t be featuring a single player mode, despite having an interesting story.
Apart from the exciting announcement of the game’s existence, Blizzard also shared character art from the game with us at BlizzCon.
Each of the character you see below this article, is designed by Arnold Tsang, the lead concept artist at Blizzard Entertainment.
The game is set in a futuristic environment and each character has been designed with that in mind. As you can see below, there is a variety of different characters in the game including snipers, dwarves, robots or archers.
Speaking of archers, the one I saw in the images below, looks to me like a combination of Green Arrow and Raiden (MGS). Now tell me that isn’t the coolest thing? Who wouldn’t want to be a human/robot archer?
Overwatch will feature squad-based gameplay with two teams, having 6 members each. Similar to a MOBA game, players will choose from a set of heroes, each having his/her own abilities and classes.
There are both offense and defence-oriented characters, so you can choose according to your playing style or strategy.

Overwatch is being developed for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X and the game is slated for a 2015 release.
