Final Fantasy XV Paris Games Week Footage Released in 1080p
During Paris Games Week last month, Square Enix released some new details and footage of their upcoming Final Fantasy XV. The footage showed the game’s protagonist, Noctis with his friends in the game’s Duscae region. Well it turns out that Square Enix has now released the same demo in full 1080p glory to eager fans to marvel at.
The main point of the game demo was to showcase the visuals and the immense map size which is why the area was cleared of all the enemies so the characters could roam the open fields unhindered. What better way to show off current gen visuals than 1080p right?
The demo featured just a portion of small portion of the Duscae region and the final release is expected to increase the region size by ten folds. The game seems to be offering a true current gen free roam gameplay.
Players can walk to any place they see. Depending on the terrain, characters’ walking animations will change. If they run long distances, characters will get tired and catch their breath. At lakes or rivers, players will be able to fish. And in the woods, they will find sheds where NPCs live that can be entered.
The fifteenth main installment of the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy XV has been in development since 2006 and was previously titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The game is being developed for PS4 and Xbox One though there is no word on the release date yet since development is barely halfway through.
