Far Cry 4 has an alternate ending that presents itself to you early in the campaign and takes just fifteen minutes to accomplish.
Even though the ending has little to do with the game’s main storyline, the following information has been tagged with ‘heavy spoilers.’
In Far Cry 4 players fill the shoes of Ajay Ghale, an English-speaking Nepalese native who returns to Kyrat to fulfill his mother’s dying wish by scattering her ashes into the winds of the fictional Himalayan region.
Upon his arrival however he quickly finds himself caught in a civil war of the native rebels who are fighting against the oppressive regime of self-appointed king, Pagan Min. Once taken in by the tyrant’s men, Ajay is shifted to a room where Min invites him to stay and “enjoy the crab rangoon.”
This is the point where the alternate ending can be achieved. All the player has to do is stay put in the room for fifteen minutes. If he leaves the premises, the game’s main storyline will follow.
However, staying put will have Pagan Min come back after fifteen minutes to check on you. He will then take you to the place where Ajay has to place his mother’s ashes next to those of another deceased relative.
During this time, Min will proceed to tell Ajay the history of his mother in Kyrat.
Once the deed is done, Min will say: “Oh good! You feel better now? Get it out of your system? Maybe now, we can shoot some goddamn guns.” An option of “Should I Stay or Should I Go” will present itself and choosing the latter will end the game.
Far Cry 4 will release on November 18 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
