Nintendo has confirmed this morning that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is now available for pre-loading.
As of now, players who pre-ordered the game from the official Nintendo eShop or participating retailers can download and install the game on their systems. The game can also be purchased through Nintendo’s website by using your Nintendo Network ID.
A digital code will be sent out to all buyers within 72 hours of their purchase that can be redeemed to allow the pre-load. According to Nintendo, “much of the data” will be pre-loaded onto your Wii U in time for the game’s release on November 21. Keeping your console in Standby mode on the release date will cause it to automatically download any remaining data and get you ready for playing.
Super Smash Bros. is the first Wii U title to support pre-loading and according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, this feature will be brought to the 3DS sometime in 2015 as well.
The game surely is on everyone’s buying list, as evident from the game’s Wii U bundle being completely sold out on both Amazon and GameStop.
