Blizzard has revealed the art and names of eighteen cards that will be available in Hearthstone as part of the new upcoming Goblins vs Gnomes expansion pack.
Scheduled for release next month, Goblins vs Gnomes was announced at BlizzCon 2014 earlier this week. According to production director Jason Chayes, the team intends to head back “to the beginning of Warcraft to the long-time rivalry between two races.”
Hearthstone’s explosive new expansion throws players smack dab in the middle of a rivalry between cunning goblin engineers and their eternally-tinkering gnome counterparts.
The newly released cards are just part of the entire deck, which apparently will feature “over 120 of the most dangerous cards you can imagine.” At BlizzCon 2014, Blizzard revealed two of them, one of which will allow you to blow up your opponent with an explosive sheep and another called Annoy-o-Tron, a 1/2 card with both Taunt and Divine Shield.
A new blog post earlier this morning also revealed another bunch of cards, this time with their statistics. You can check them out here.
The developer will be sticking to the free-to-play model and allow players to earn the card packs through Arena mode. The expansion will also be purchasable using the in-game gold earned through daily wins. It will be priced similarly to the standard card packs.
