The recent Paris Game Festival saw Final Fantasy XV producer Hajime Tabata share a few details on the game’s current development.
Speaking with French video game website Gamekult, he said that the game’s warm reception at Tokyo Game Show 2014 was a great boost to the team.
The development staff is currently in high spirits because of all the praise they got to hear from onlookers and viewers. Development is going quickly and smoothly and Square Enix is now about to start production of the final-build.
However, Tabata mentioned that for this last phase their current number of staff members is low and hence the studio has already begun recruiting for their Tokyo office.
He also teased that they already have an idea for an estimated release window for the game. “We have a general idea of what year and period we’re targeting for its release,” said Tabata about Final Fantasy XV.
“And we’re at a stage where we’re putting everything we have towards the release window. However, I believe that it might take just a little bit longer than you’d hope for.”
Final Fantasy XV is in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
