Slightly Mad Studios added one more to the massive list of 2014 titles that have been delayed to 2015 by announcing that their simulation racer wouldn’t come out before March 2015. If you are over the disappointment, here’s something new.
The developers have revealed their latest addition to the list of vehicles in Project CARS, Karts!
Alright we understand that they want to add variety to the bucket, but why exactly did they choose Karts? The developer explains on the official website of the game while talking about how they have been the starting point for names like Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Jeff Gordon:
Considered by some as the first step in any serious racer’s career, it can prepare the driver for high-speed wheel-to-wheel racing by helping develop quick reflexes, precise car control, and instinctive decision-making skills.
In addition, it also introduces an awareness of the various tweakable parameters that can potentially improve the competitiveness of the kart (e.g. tire pressure, gearing, chassis stiffness) that will prove invaluable in higher levels of motorsport.
In Project CARS there will be two types of Karting; one with 125cc shifter karts meant for smaller circuits and the other with superkarts at 250cc – these speed up to 160mph!
Project CARS is being developed for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. Except for the Wii U version, the game will be released in US on March 17, 2015; in EU and Australia on March 20, 2015; in UK on March 21, 2015.
