Resident Evil Revelations 2 is looking to win back the followers the series lost due to Resident Evil 6 by going back to its roots. For the time being, the game is looking promising to me and the 10 minutes footage above is just a small evidence for that.
Claire Redfield wakes up in a detention cell, not knowing what happened or where she is. A device can be seen strapped to her wrist as she wakes up, after which the door automatically opens. So, I am guessing someone is monitoring her actions and have intentionally put her there.
Why? Maybe to test out a new Nemesis like creature? We’ll know when the game comes out.
After escaping her cell, Claire finds Moira Barton, she is the daughter of Barry Barton, who served S.T.A.R.S and appeared in the first Resident Evil.
After Claire freed Moira, both of them now look for a way out, not knowing that the entire facility is filled with gruesome monsters.
As the above footage shows, Moira doesn’t seem to be of much use during combat portions of the game. However, that may change as the story further develops.
The game does feature local split screen multiplayer, so one of your friends can take control of Moira and maybe he/she can make Moira help out a bit more. Moira is pretty useful when comes to puzzle solving though.
