Just a couple of days ago, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare made its way onto all major platforms. However, one of those major platforms was left out, Advanced Warfare was not released on Nintendo’s Wii U.
This left fans disappointed and once again, a major title is not available for the players on the Wii U.
Still, not all hope is lost for a Wii U release as a listing has been spotted in Target’s database, which suggests the game might be coming to the Wii U after all.
Readers shouldn’t take this as a confirmation by Activision or Sledgehammer, as this could just be an error as well. So, until an official confirmation, keep your hopes to a minimum.
Fans would love to see the game on their console but in August, Sledgehammer’s co-founder Michael Condrey stated on twitter that there is no Wii U version:
“no, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.”
The question is, why is there no Wii U version? Black ops II and Ghosts were both released on Nintendo’s console, then what happened this time?
Moreover, Advanced Warfare is available on both PS3 and Xbox 360 so why wouldn’t there be a Wii U port as well?
Was Activision not satisfied with the number of copies they have been selling on Wii U? Sales could have been one of the reasons behind this decision by Activision, as Nintendo titles sell better, compared to third party games. This indicates that players on the Wii U enjoy a different set of titles, which Nintendo is most famous for.
