GTA V is going to receive a limited set of CD and vinyl soundtrack box sets, Rockstar Games announced today.
According to the developer only 5,000 copies will be available in the market. It however was not specified whether that figure tallies with one format or if both the CD and vinyl combine to form the 5,000 number.
A total of 59 tracks, including the original soundtrack, will be featured in the box sets; all of which has been composed by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist, and Oh No, with DJ Shadow doing some of the mixing.
The CD box set will come with three discs, a GTA V gold brick-shaped USB Drive, original artwork and a poster. The vinyl collection on the other hand will feature six colored-vinyl records, a full-color booklet, and an exclusive lithograph poster.
There’s no word on pricing yet but Rockstar has stated that the box sets will be available for purchase from “top online and physical record stores” from December 9.
GTA V is scheduled for release on the PS4 and Xbox One later this month on the 18. The PC version will be the last to release in January 2015.
The overhauled versions will feature a lot of improvement in terms of textures, environment and a wave of new content that was not present in last year’s release.
