A user on NeoGAF has spotted an image on PlayStation Store, which suggests that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel might be headed to PlayStation 4. You can check out the image for yourself posted above.
PS4’s store usually displays the titles that are currently playable or will become playable on the console, which makes this image even more interesting.
However, after you click on the image, the store just showcases the top games of the console and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is nowhere to be seen.
With so many re-mastered and definitive editions coming out on the new gen consoles, it wouldn’t be surprising if Gearbox brought their newest title to PS4 and Xbox One as well.
There is a possibility that the game will make its way to new gen consoles sometime in the future, however, until an official announcement is made by either Sony or Gearbox, this news should just be taken with a grain of salt.
The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was released earlier this month, and it takes players to a journey to the moon, where they witness the rise of Borderlands 2’s infamous villain “Handsome Jack.”
