The highly anticipated current-gen version of GTA V is going to launch next month, and it has been reported that the game will run at 1080p resolution on PlayStation 4.
The resolution was confirmed in the PlayStation Magazine, where a specific feature on the upcoming title read:
Glimmering 1080p presentation, hugely increased draw distance, 100 new songs, fresh wild-life, a bumper version of GTA Online, this is sandbox you’ve dreamt about ever since you slotted Sony’s angular baby under your TV,” the feature reads.
Farewell 720p. You served your purpose adequately enough. Still, our eyes have been gagging over 1080p’s pin-sharp pleasure and the Los Santos sandbox is only too happy to oblige on PS4, running at a native 1920 x 1080 pixels.
On the other hand, Xbox One resolution was not mentioned in the feature but is very likely that the game will run on 1080p on Microsoft’s console as well, using the extra resources left by Kinect sensor; however, we cannot be certain unless Rockstar Games confirms it.
Upon its release on last-gen consoles, GTA V managed to break several sale records and we will see if the game gets the same response on current-gen consoles when it releases on November 18.
