Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo’s Wii U is not going to release until next month, but it hasn’t stopped the developers from revealing more than 50 new features that will be coming to the Wii U version.
One of the biggest features showcased in the 35 minutes video above is the “8-Player Smash”, which will allow eight players to fight simultaneously in the local multiplayer. The stages in this mode will be bigger than usual to accommodate each player.
Another great addition coming to Super Smash Bros. Wii U is the ability to create custom stages that you will be able to share with everyone.
Furthermore, the 3DS owners of the game will be able to import their custom fighters to the Wii U title, along with their custom equipment.
The Wii U version will feature 40 characters plus Mii characters, which you can create anytime. However, there will be no changes in the move-set as it will stay identical in both versions.
Famous Metroid character, Ridley will also be making his way to the Wii U version but not as a playable character, instead he will be featured in Metroid inspired stage and if you attack him enough times, he will join in the fight and you will be able to knock him down to get an extra point in the match result.
Apart from the aforementioned features, Super Smash Bros. Wii U is going to get number of other new additions and changes as well, you can check them all out in the attached video above or by visiting Nintendo’s official website.
