Reviews of Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth have started pouring in on the web and here’s a roundup of the scores handed down by major online publishers.
The spiritual successor to Alpha Centauri has managed to attain very favorable scores from reviewers. However, almost every single one has pointed out a bit of disappointment in the game sharing just too much with Civilization 5 and trying too hard to overshadow the incredible strategy title.
Civilization: Beyond Earth does not take away the trophy from Civilization 5 and neither this is the best title in the franchise. That said, it still is a wonderful title in its own right and something that will keep you busy for the remainder of the year.
- Polygon – 9/10

- Destructoid – 9/10
- IGN – 7.9/10
