Releasing alongside Assassin’s Creed Unity, Rogue puts players in the shoes of an Assassin turned Templar Shay Patrick Cormac.
It has been confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Rogue’s story will somehow have ties to Unity and last year’s Black Flag.
As you know, Black Flag’s gameplay emphasized on naval battles and customization of your ship. Similarly, your ship in Rogue will need upgrading in order to navigate through the harsh icy waters of the Northern Atlantic.
Every so often, you will come across icebergs and patches of ice so you will need to upgrade your ship accordingly. Also, you can leave a trail of burning oil to cause damage to opposing ships.
Hunting is making a comeback as well. Shay will be able to hunt sea creatures of the atlantic and upgrade his ship through that as well.
This time around, your enemies won’t be able to board your ship unless they disable it. That can be done by colliding with your ship or causing enough damage by other means.
While playing as an assassin, we all are used to hide in haystacks, blend in crowds, sit on benches to become anonymous. Now, taking the role of a Templar you can easily fish out assassins from these spots and eliminate them for good.
Every tactic you used as an assassin will now help you out during their assassination. Be a Templar who thinks like an assassin.
Players can experience what it feels like to be a Templar by picking up a copy of Assassin’s Creed Rogue starting November 11 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
