Recent job postings on the official Naughty Dog website reveal that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ‘could’ be getting a multiplayer component.
I say could because it doesn’t really mention the game itself and could be for an unannounced IP. However, considering that Naughty Dog has been in the news lately just for their upcoming Uncharted installment, it’s more likely that it is for Drake.
According to the listings, the studio is looking for developers who can help with “planning, setup and tuning of multiplayer from high concept to object placement and scripting.” One listing requires candidates to “design and balance multiplayer systems like player customization, weapons, progression and unlocks, and the online user experience.”
I reckon that fans of the franchise would be happy to know that they will once again be able to customize their characters. It’s likely that the customization process will be in more depth compared to the previous titles. On that note though, the online component looks to be more or less the same as that of the previous Uncharted entries.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime next year for the PlayStation 4. Reveals about it have been scarce and we’ll probably be getting a more detailed look next year.
