Unreal Engine 4.5 Released with Major Advancements Relating to Mobile and Consoles

Good news for the developers as well as the gamers, Unreal Engine 4.5 has been released and it comes packing some really, really good stuff!

The official blog on the Unreal Engine website announced the newest build couple of hours ago while boasting of a bucketful of new features and advanced options for game developers. There are hundreds of improvements for mobiles, consoles as well as PC platform:

The 4.5 release includes eagerly-awaited features such as animation retargeting, automatic C++ hot reload, light map UV generation and streaming video textures. New real-time ray traced soft shadows allow for beautifully lit dynamic scenes, and screen-space subsurface scattering enables very realistic skin materials.

Support for mobile platforms and consoles is better than ever, and hundreds of targeted improvements in this release allow complex online games to pass console certification tests. Finally, creating user interfaces has never been easier now that Unreal Motion Graphics is ready to use!

Not only that, the Unreal Engine 4.5 will also bring you improvements to usability and learning process. There is a new tutorial program as well as new game templates for multiple features like Twin Stick Shooters and Advanced Vehicles.

In the launch of the latest build of the gaming engine, the developer community has played a major role and up to 40 of the newly added features were made possible due to them.
