DICE has released a slew of new information about ‘Final Stand,’ the fifth DLC map pack for Battlefield 4.
As with each expansion pack, this one will too feature four new multiplayer maps.
- Operation Whiteout: You’ll fight through both enemy fire and the Siberian cold
- Hammerhead: Explore a submarine base when you hit the mountainous Hammerhead
- Hangar 21: Military secrets and hints of future battlefields lie within
- Giants of Karelia: You’ll encounter both rural areas and a high-tech weapons factory
In the equipment category, Final Stand will be offering new military hardware to players that can be said to be from the future. The HT-95 Levkov vehicle is able to mode sideways while strafing, the Rorsch MK-1 promises to “Make sharp shooters drool” and the flying XD-1 Accipiter is a new flying drone that’s equipped with a deadly LMG.
A new ‘Target Detector’ has also been teased that comes as attachments for DMRs and Carbines that automatically spot enemies for you. Another gadget is the DS-3 DECOY that emits false blips on the enemy mini-maps, making them rush for targets that aren’t there or perhaps right into an ambush.
According to DICE, those taking part in Battlefield’s Community Test Environment will be able to get their hands on this map pack later today, October 15, at 3 p.m. pacific time.
