Sony has announced PlayStation Experience, a community event that will take place in Las Vegas on December 6 and 7.
Announcing it on the PlayStation Blog, Senior Social Media Manager Sid Shuman said that Sony has been planning it for a while now and the “massive two-day community event [is] dedicated to the people who bring PlayStation to life: you.”
PlayStation Experience will also happen alongside the PlayStation’s 20th anniversary. Attendees will be treated to a lot of content, ranging from exclusive first looks at unannounced future titles to playing already announced titles on the show floor.
There will be special panels set up, along with developer meet ups, a lot of merchandise and a chance to “purchase rare collectibles directly from their favorite game studios.”
PlayStation Experience will be open to everyone above 18 years of age. They will however, need to acquire a one day pass for $50 or a $90 pass for both days. More details on the event will be released on October 20 that will cover more on how to attend the event and about other aspects.
The PlayStation Blog will be offering a “comprehensive coverage of the event, including breaking news as well as live video through multiple distribution channels” for those unable to attend the event in person.
