Studio Head of 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross in a new interview with OXM has revealed some new information regarding the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians.
First, she reveals information on Halo: Nightfall show as she mentions that it will serve as an introduction to the new character Agent Locke, who will play a major role in Halo 5: Guardians.
With this added show in the collection, you will come to know the origins of Locke and you will understand his way of thinking, so that you can feel more attached to him in Halo 5.
In response to another question that asked whether there will be custom playlists for maps in all the games included in collection, Ross stated:
That feature would be great, but we do have a tight production schedule. One thing that we will be doing is soliciting feedback. We’ll be giving VIP Halo players the ability to create playlists. We can put those out, like, each week.
She continued on to say that the studio is thinking of stop numbering the Halo games, especially on Xbox One.
We do want to stop numbering. Especially on Xbox One. If I had my druthers, we wouldn’t have called Halo 4 that – we really look at that game as the start of where he’s going. At some point we need to drop the number and still (let you) know you’ve got a big story coming.
Ross also revealed that the CGI sequences of Halo 2: Anniversary Edition are being redone by Blur Studios and they will be “Jaw-Dropping.”
Aforementioned is the major excerpt from the interview but if you want to read the whole thing, then you will need to purchase the fall, 2014 issue of OXM.
